About Anna Wan and Jürgen Hergenröder
Certified in Hatha Yoga and Yoga Therapy
We are both Registered Yoga Teachers with the Yoga Alliance accredited with more than 500 hours of teacher training (RYT500). Fully certified in Hatha Yoga, our teacher training experience has been based on the traditional Indian gurukulam system of education, living in an ashram setting while studying under the tutelage of the master teacher.
We undertook our initial Yoga teacher training at the Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Center in Kerala, India in 2004 and more recently in 2011 completed an intensive Advanced Yoga Teacher Training with the International Vashista Yoga Research Foundation, also in Kerala, India.
In addition, we have completed a training in Yoga Therapy from the Yoga Vidya Dham in 2004, a university and research institute in Nashik affiliated with the University of Pune in India. We will also be continuing our development in this field with an additional training in Yoga Therapy with the International Vashista Yoga Research Foundation in 2012.
Yoga Tradition
Our yoga teaching and tradition is strongly influenced by the teaching linage of the Bihar School of Yoga, following in the spiritual tradition of Sage Adi Shankaracharya, Swami Sivananda and Swami Satyananda.
Combining an integrated approach to personal and spiritual development with health, our teaching is based on traditional vedantic, tantric and yogic teachings in conjunction with a contemporary science of physical and mental well being.
Teaching Experience
Since 2004, we have been teaching group classes in Yoga Studios and Fitness Studios in Munich, and providing private classes and yoga therapy on a one-to-one basis. We currently also teach half-day Intensive and themed Yoga Workshops and host Yoga Retreats and holidays in Germany, Italy and India.
